Pau D’Arco is derived from the inner bark of tabebuia trees, which are native to the Amazonian rainforest. Pau D’Arco has been used by traditional herbalists for centuries. This traditional use is supported by the more recent discovery of many active compounds including lapachol and beta-lapachone.
It is used to treat a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, arthritis, inflammation of the prostate gland, fever, dysentery, boils and ulcers, and various cancers.
Research suggests that pau d’arco has strong antibacterial and antifungal properties. It inhibits the processes bacteria and fungi need to produce oxygen and energy.
Directions
Take 2 capsules 1 to 2 times daily.
