Krill Oil
  • Source of Omega 3
  • Contributes to heart health
  • Reduces negative effects of free radicals

Krill oil is an extract prepared from a species of Antarctic krill. Research has shown that the omega-3s in krill oil improve heart health. Studies also show that krill oil helps lower blood pressure and triglyceride levels, which are both risk factors for heart disease.

While krill and fish oil both have DHA and EPA, it’s believed that those omega-3 fatty acids found in krill oil have a higher bioavailability — or rate of absorption in your body — than fish oil.

Krill oil also contains astaxanthin, a pigment that’s found in carotenoids. Astaxanthin has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits, which may help fight the negative effects of free radicals on your brain and nervous system.
