Acetyl-L-carnitine is a a highly bioavailable, acetylated form of L-carnitine. Although is naturally produced by the body, it can be taken as a dietary supplement providing number of valuable health benefits.

Acetyl-L-carnitine is broken down in our bodies to carnitine which is then used to transport fatty acids into the mitochondria where it is converted into ATP ‒ the source of energy.
